Hesham Abbas Medany is the Founder and CEO of Hesham Abbas for Consulting (HAC). He brings 35 years of experience across food manufacturing, quality management, and certification consulting — with deep expertise in operational excellence, food safety, supply chain, and R&D.
Before founding HAC, Hesham spent 23 years at Intertek, where he rose from Lead Auditor to General Manager overseeing the Saudi Arabia and Bahrain business. He was responsible for P&L management, accreditation processes with SASO and SFDA, and expanding the certification and training business across the Gulf. In June 2023, he was awarded Auditor of the Year — a recognition of his standing as one of the most respected auditors in the region.
Prior to Intertek, Hesham served as Quality Assurance Director at Americana Cake (part of the Americana Group), where he held overall technical and quality responsibility for two manufacturing plants in Saudi Arabia. He built the organization's quality systems from the ground up, including ISO 9001, HACCP, and food safety management systems.
Hesham holds a Master's degree in Food Science and Technology from Alexandria University, where he graduated with Honorable Mention.
